A Blessed Day at Camp 2014 "Youth On Fire For Christ"

A few campers at the Outreach Centre
Camp 2014, organized by the Christ Tabernacle Church of God Churches from St Vincent and the Grenadines and St Lucia, moves into its final five days this week. Over the past week, though the weather had not been too friendly, the campers, under the supervision of Sister Antoine were able to accomplish quite a bit, culminating on Saturday with a trip to Vieux Fort.
During the week campers were involved in group discussions and various forms of activities designed to the needs of present-day youth  -  educational, spiritual, social, physical, and emotional topics being a few of the areas touched.

On Sunday, the "Fire" this young Church generation possessed, was kindled and was a sight to cherish. They virtually brought down the roof of the camp with their songs of praise and worship.
The congregation was divided into three groups by Sunday School teacher Sister Ursula Herman. Each group  was presented with Bookd and verses of the bible. They were to discuss the reading and prepare a report to be presented to the general congregation.

Group 3: Luke 21: 25-33 Discuss vis-a-vis the theme "Youth on Fire for Christ" how you can impart positively or influence dynamic.christian growth and development among the youth as they remain watchful?

The worship team was magnificent. Led by the versatility of Ms  Sasha Browne, and the well thought out selections, ably supported by her team and musicians, the congregation, truly was awed. There can be no doubt that the presence of the Holy Spirit was deeply felt by all. Special emphasis must made to the use of the Vinci slang in the quicker genres, and according to Pastor Jai, " I just love this slang, and mind you, it brings a flavor to the music." Sasha was outstanding.
Worship Team
The usual protocol of Praise and Worship followed as brother Herman introduced the day's reading and Pastor Jai, from the local church delivered the day's sermon based on the Book of 1 Samuel 16.
Prayers were showered on those who needed it and the congregation was entertained by a few Vinci local christian songs by a camper and a creole Lucian song by Pastor Cox and wife. Pastor Bodhoo led the congregation in prayer while Sister Antoine closed the service with a few words of thanks and then prayer.
What a day it was!!!!! I left there refreshed.
